SanDisk Ultra II Hybrid SD USB Flash Drive

  February 22nd, 2005

SanDisk Ultra II Hybrid SD USB Flash DriveThe innovative USB flash drive / SD memory card hybrid concept is gaining momentum as SanDisk rolls out their Ultra II SD Plus. By folding the SD card in half, a slim USB connector is revealed for quick access to a computer, eliminating the need to buy a third-party card reader. An embedded LED also indicates connectivity and data transfer.

The cards are exceptionally fast, with disk read and write speeds of 10MBps and 9MBps, ideal for taking high-resolution images in rapid succession. Expect to see 512MB and 1GB versions of the Ultra II SD Plus for $109 and $149 each around April.
