| Corsair, being one of the biggest names in enthusiast RAM, have a rather nice line of USB flash drives. They now have available a flash drive sporting a display that lets you see at a glance how much capacity is left on the drive. Corsairs Flash Readout is available in both 1 GB and 2 GB capacities. The display is a Bi-stable Cholesteric Display (BCD) that can retain displayed information for a year without the use of a battery. | A Taiwanese Korean company by the name of PQI has an interesting looking USB drive that is sized like a credit card. Simply called the Card Drive U510, it is available in three different colors and has both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 connectivity. World Cup fans will be glad to hear that one of the versions of the drive have a soccer ball on the casing, the other two are colored gray or silver. | It is 7:25am, and you are about to be late for work. The company board meeting is today, and everyone is eager to see that video presentation you have worked on at home. Do you know where an empty flash drive is? Enter the JumpDrive Mercury from Lexar, a secure flash drive with a capacity meter on the side that gives you a rough estimate of how much storage is available. | Summary not yet available |

Space Filler If USB flash drive is going to be attached to a key ring, check that the attachment point is on the main body, not on the cap. |

Summary not yet available | Summary not yet available | Remember that pitiful medium called the floppy disk? Well, they always had one up on the USB flash drive, and it was not until Memorex pointed this out that I realized it. There are no sticker labels to tell the content inside. Memorex fixes this through the use of a 13-char Surface Stabilized Cholesteric (SSC) LCD in their TravelDrive, able to display the name of the drive, a date, or the contents of the drive including how much space is left. | Kingston's bare-bone U3 thumbdrive is another 'smart flash drive' going around. As far as we know, the U3 DataTraveler doesn't bundle with any software except the U3 launchpad. Though, you can download a small array of trial software from software.u3.com. Lastly, the keychain loophole is on the body of DataTraveler. |
