These days you can find a flash drive with all sorts of protection from military grade hardware encryption that can self destruct in that "Mission: Impossible"-esque kind of way to something simply requiring a password to access. Today we get to take a look at the Corsair Padlock, a drive that caters to those that just need a simple method to stop the majority from accessing their data. The OCZ Trifecta can be used in digital cameras and card readers as a normal SD card. The Trifecta can also be used in DAP players that work with Micro SD cards and for times when you find yourself without an SD card reader you can use the Trifecta in a USB port as well. Storage capacity is 2GB and a 1GB version is available as well. The Trifecta has a 66x read speed and carries a 5 year warranty as well. Two years ago Corsair made a splash in the flash drive market with the launch of their Flash Voyager, a rubber coated drive that is meant to take a beating. While we have seen a few new capacities come out, Corsair has not made any dramatic improvements to the line until now with the release of the Flash Voyager GT. Built for extreme speeds and conditions, we put both of these to the test in our full review.

Sometimes, if you get some freebie flash drives, make sure that you hold down the SHIFT key when plugging it in to avoid opening whatever programs (eg. Trojan horse) inside inadvertently. However, some programs are stored inside a virtual CD-ROM that is protected by firmware in which case you can't get rid of the content.

The Intelligent Drive i810's design concept is derived from fashionable dongle accessories combining technology and art into one. The interface allows i810 to be designed as the size of a flash card, requires not card reader and can be implemented for a variety of ultra thin and delicately designed products. Delicately constructed and weighing in at only 2.2 grams, Intelligent Drive i810 is water, dust, shock and vibration proof. According to DV Hardware, the Data Traveler Flash was found to be very fast, right up there with the Corsair Voyager GT, though the GT did have faster write speeds. The drive was also tested with Vista for its ReadyBoost performance. The reviewer found that the Kingston drive significantly sped up some benchmark tests ran with PCMark, but some of the tests showed worse performance with the ReadyFlash than without it installed.  Speed. Reliability. Portability. Security. These are all things that should be present in a flash drive worthy of being called a mobile office. As the crème de la crème of SanDisk offerings, the new Cruzer Titanium 2GB flash drive has a lot to live up to. Now that it's been armed with U3 and a casing developed by Liquid Metal, we see how this flash drive handles the pressure. Literally. Read on for the full review.

You can easily assign which programs to autorun each time you plug in the drive by creating a file called 'autorun.inf' that points to a batch file. In the batch file, you then add 'start /program_path/program.exe' for each program you want to start automatically. Though, PCs with auto-run disabled can render this trick useless.

It is 7:25am, and you are about to be late for work. The company board meeting is today, and everyone is eager to see that video presentation you have worked on at home. Do you know where an empty flash drive is? Enter the JumpDrive Mercury from Lexar, a secure flash drive with a capacity meter on the side that gives you a rough estimate of how much storage is available. The link points to a review of the 1GB version.  The Imation 2GB drive is simply a rubber casing that houses one of the smallest flash drives. The actual mechanism is only as big as a thumb joint, which is about an inch long, plus the USB connector. The actual USB port slips into a slot and the drive seats into the rubber, so there is no danger of it falling out. To remove it, you sort of peel the rubber back and slide the drive out using the indented end with a thumb grip. As Lexar's flagship USB flash drive, the JumpDrive Lightning 2GB is incased in a chrome-sprayed body, which you can clean it with bundled polishing cloth. Performance wise, it is company's first thumbdrive to hit 24MB/s read and 18MB/s write. Additionally, the Lightning protects data via 256-bit AES, and keeps files sync'ed with pre-loaded software. The product link points to our review of the 1GB JumpDrive Lightning.
