Flash based MP3 players have always had some of the worse hurdles to jump when it comes to setting new market trends. Despite everyone's collective efforts, every MP3 player has been burdened with capacity, battery, interface, video, or software integration issues that simply marred the overall experience when compared to the market leader. Well, it was bound to happen sometime, but one company finally caught up to and surpassed the competition. Meet the 2nd generation iriver clix, quite possibly the best flash MP3 player that money can buy. Read on as our in-depth review explains why.

The second new MP3 player from SanDisk is far more appealing in our opinion than the first. Behold the e200-series, the next big thing in flash-based MP3 players. When we say big, we mean big, as in 2/4/6GB big. When using a 1GB microSD flash card (also convienently made by SanDisk) then we are talking 7GB big, or almost twice the capacitiy of the iPod nano big. Over at the Samsung booth we got a glimpse of the new YP-Z5, a small 2/4GB MP3 player aimed to compete with Apple iPod nano. Besides playing protected WMAs from Napster and displaying JPEG slide shows on it's 1.8" LCD, the new player has a gorgeous brushed metal (or glossy black) body with a fairly intuitive interface controlled by a tactile touchpad.
