Acton Inc did just that, and while we're not actually a retailer liked they hoped we were, this thing is so unusual we're forced to share it with you. Behold the MicMouse, a mouse with a built in fountain of youth! Okay so maybe that's a bit much for a hybrid, but as the name implies it does come with an integrated microphone.

The microphone, although only supported on the Windows platform is plug and play, and is said to work with a multitude of Voice over IP services such as Skype, Google Talk, Yahoo, and MSN. How well the microphone works at a distance or with a hand on the mouse and whether or not it's echo canceling is still unknown at this time, but we're looking to find out. Apart from that, it's just your ordinary mouse with 3 buttons and a scroll wheel with a 800DPI resolution. And unlike the hordes of other OEM gadgets spammed to us, Acton is actually within the United States so there's a good chance we'll see this go retail in a while.
