A new flash drive is out in Japan just for Mac users called the @Secure f/s that sports fingerprint authentication to secure your data. Without the correct fingerprint the data on the drive can’t be accessed securing it if the drive is lost or stolen. You can also have an area of the drive that can be accessed for anyone; this can be quite useful to allow finders of your lost flash drive to see information to return it whilst keeping your nefarious plans for world domination secure. Perhaps the most unique feature is allowing the drive to log you onto your Mac with your fingerprint is available as well. There are similar offerings for Windows for eons but nothing for Mac. The drive only works with Tiger (10.4.4 or later). Once you pull the drive out of your machine the screen saver starts automatically requiring authentication to get back in. You can also get a version for Windows. About Everything USB
