Massive 28-in-1 Pro USB Card Reader

  December 7th, 2006

WE RECOMMEND

This is the most massive looking media card reader I have ever seen. This thing looks like it needs to be mounted in a rack next to the servers at NASA. The manufacturer, Atech Flash Technology, says the PROGear-G5 is designed to match the G5 computer. USB 2.0 connectivity moves the images and data between the card reader and the PC. The four media slots on the front allow you to read 28 different media formats with no adapters needed for mini-SD, RS-MMC or MS-Duo. The reader can read SDHC cards as well. The list of compatible storage media seems to include every format out there. As massive as the card reader looks in the images, it actually only measures in at 5.27” x 2.52” x 4.92” making it quite small and easy to fit on your desk. Transfer rates via USB 2.0 are up to 480 Mb/sec and up to 12 Mb/sec on USB 1.1.
