USB hubs are under the scrutiny again. iPhone 3G and iPod touch from all over the world are reporting slow sync issue with their Apple devices, but there isn't one definite reason to the problem. Then a member from some unknown forum mentioned that USB hubs could possibly at fault. A Mac editor from UK initially didn't suspect his Belkin hub might be the cause, yet he did try almost everything in his power. As re-plugging his iPhone directly to iMac is among the easiest proposed solutions and makes most sense, he tried that and viola! Problem solved - sync completed in about 5 minutes rather than overnight. While we didn't run into the same problem with our self-powered Belkin USB hubs, it sounds like there could be some bad USB citizens sharing the connection that messed things up. Unfortunately, the aforementioned fix is Mac only; Windows users are still screwed. About Everything USB
