Apple Adds 1GB iPod nano

  February 7th, 2006

WE RECOMMEND
Apple Adds 1GB iPod nanoWithout any formal press event, Apple has quietly added 1GB iPod nano, offering the same size and design as the 2GB & 4GB models, for $129. This lower-capacity nano will compete with the screen-less iPod shuffle 1GB which also receives a $30 price cut today, bringing it down to $99. This kinda suggests shuffle maybe on its way out since for $30 more, you can get the more fashionable nano, which has way more accessories from Apple and partners.

To extend the life of the shuffle, Apple perhaps should consider bringing in some programmers to write them a few cross-platform portable apps. Then people like us can sync the data to the shuffle via iSync.
