Archos is updating its 202 PMP with a new Archos 204 PMP. The new player has a 20GB HDD, 1.8” 262k color screen, and can play MP3, WAV, WMA, and WMA-DRM tunes. With a relatively large screen for a PMP and 262k colors you might expect to see video playback amongst the features, but you would be wrong. The 204 only shows JPEG images; no other formats are supported. There is no word on pricing or availability just yet. However it does seem this Archos 204 PMP is destined to be a European only version so those in the USA likely will not see it on store shelves. I have to say the player looks really boring too with its matte black finish. I guess some will see that as a benefit since fingerprints shouldn’t show up as bad. About Everything USB
