AverMedia's 3-megapixel USB Document CameraIf you need to take pictures of documents that you can show on a projector or monitor quickly and easily AverMedia may have just the thing for you. If you are looking for a possibly faster and easier alternative to document scanners for showing printed documents in the classroom or office this might be just what you're looking for.

AverMedia's new document camera is called the AVerVision 150. The manufacturer claims that the 3.0 megapixel USB connectivity camera can not only take pictures of documents and objects, but can display microscopic images as well. No specific amount of memory is listed in the specs, but supposedly 32 JPEG images can be stored to the camera with more being able to be stored to the computer.

You can also use the 150 as a webcam. Video is displayed at 24 frames per second and the zoom is digital to allow for panning ability. Compatibility is with PC and Mac. Pricing is set at $599.99 and it is available now.
