When VMware doesn't cut it, sometimes a second computer is warranted for specific tasks. Unfortunately this could take up a lot of desk space that you may or may not have. KVM's have been around for a while so that you don't have to have an extra keyboard monitor and mouse lying around and as simplistic as they are in essence, that doesn't mean they aren't subject to evolution. Belkin announced their newly-designed SOHO KVM that promise to reduce the cutter, save space, and do it with style. It will come in three different models, each available with two or four ports. The three models will support different setups – one for PS2, USB, and VGA, one for VGA and USB, and finally one for DVI and USB. They are hotkey capable for switching and also feature touch sensitive buttons on the front for this as well. Perhaps the most interesting about these KVM's is that they support independent audio switching meaning that you could be listening to music on your iPod and switch between computers without interrupting your ability to rock out.
