Canon has added a laser Faxphone to their inkjet version in their consumer line. The USB 2.0 Faxphone L120 combines high-speed fax and telephoning capabilities with high-quality laser printing in one compact design. The low-profile L120 faxes though a dedicated Super G3 33.6Kbps modem, copies and prints from a computer.
Compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, the Canon Faxphone L120 has an attached handset and prints up to 12ppm monochrome thanks to 16MB onboard RAM. It can fax at up to 3 seconds per page. It includes a 30 page document feeder and a 150 page front-loading cassette tray for heavier workloads. It's not clear yet whether the unit can scan to PC as well, although that is usually the case with such devices.
