Canon PIXMA mini260 Portable Photo Printer

  August 24th, 2006

Canon's newest portable photo printer is squarely aimed at the same market of the HP PhotoSmart A716. Shutterbugs that want a printer they can take with them on the go, might want to give the Canon printer a look. Canon's new printer even has a few new tricks up its sleeve that other printers on the market haven't seen.

The Canon PIXMA mini260 is an interesting looking printer that was designed to appeal to the female buyers, not that guys won't like it. The most interesting feature is the Easy-Scroll wheel that gives access to all the printers menus. Print resolution is super high at 6900 x 2400 dpi. Ink droplets are as small as one picoliter. Canon also went with separate ink tanks rather than one combined tank so you can replace just the color you need and reduce waste. Supposedly 4x6 photos print in 59 seconds and the printer is PictBridge enabled.
