Casio has captured the world's attention recently with it's DSLR the EX-F1. A decent DSLR, its most amazing feature is the 1000fps video that it can shoot. Edgerton himself would have loved this thing. All of the early adopters are filling up YouTube with really amazing slow motion videos that they've been able to take of sports and other slowed down high speed activities. Now, Casio has taken the next step with this super fun video toy and has sent the camera on a fantastic voyage down to subcompact camera size. At less than an inch thick, the Casio EX-FS10 can capture 720p video at 30fps and 480p at up to 1000fps with the latter super slow-motion mode putting other point n shoot cams to shame. The fact that it takes great 9 mega-pixel images is just an added extra. Who wants a picture of a hummingbird when you can take a video of it and actually see its individual wings flapping. The normal camera functions get a speed burst as well taking full resolution images at 30fps. You can also calibrate your personal shutter lag by reviewing burst pictures to show the camera at which point you wanted the image to be captured. Sort of a way to teach the camera how fast or slow your reflexes are. The Casio EX-FS10 is retailing for $349, but that doesn't include the price of a speedy SD/HC card you'll need to capture all those movies.- Get Casio High Speed EXILIM EX-FS10 - digital camera now for $179.99 at TigerDirect.com
