Crate 5 Guitar Amp includes USB Port

Crate is now shipping a USB guitar amplifier called the Crate Profiler 5. The amp is powered by either AC power or six AA batteries and includes a mini-jack for connecting your iPod and playing along with your favorite song. The Profiler 5 retails for $159.99 and emulates 11 different modern and vintage amps via a selector switch on the top.

Stereo DSP effects like chorus, flange, auto-wah and more are included. The USB connection and Mackie Tracktion 2 recording software for PC and Mac allow you to record to your PC with the amp. The amp has 2.5 watts per channel and uses two 4” speakers inside. Gain, tone, and profile-selection knobs are also located on top of the amp. A headphone jack is available as well for private jamming.
