Fatal1ty Pro Laser Mouse Not Creative Enough

  August 31st, 2006

Fatal1ty Pro Laser Mouse Not Creative EnoughCreative has teamed up with the pro gamer Fatal1ty for a line of gamer oriented peripherals from mice to keyboards. The Fatal1ty Professional Series Laser Gaming Mouse is billed as having ingenious features such as the interchangeable weight cartridges, which Logitech has used on the Logitech G5 for a long time now. Included weight packs are 3.5g, 11g, 15g, 19g, and 26g. Creative used a HD-Laser engine that they rate in CPI rather than DPI. Strikes me as odd and prevents me from making comparisons to other gaming mice.

Nonetheless, the mouse is capable of 400 CPI, 800 CPI and 2400 CPI. How those correspond to DPI is anyone's guess. The slightly odd design is intended to allow you to place all 5 fingers on the mouse top, possibly making it more accurate for fingertip control. Your standard side mounted button or "trigger" as Creative bills it is included as is a oxygen free cable to improve signal transmission. Maybe I'm getting jaded, but this mouse screams me too if you ask me.
