Creative is launching a new addition to their Zen line called the Zen Wav. The Wav is a flash-based player with built-in speakers featuring a 1.5” TFT screen with 65k colors, MP3, WMA, WAV and Audible compatibility, and the ability to play transcoded AVI video. A FM tuner is also built into the player along with a line-in and voice recorder. Creative says the Wav supports E-books and has a battery life of 30 hours with earphones and 20 hours with speakers. Measuring in at 85 x 42 x 12.5 mm the Wav is sized well and it includes a docking station designed to emit rich sound waves, so Creative says anyway. The player is available now for $179 and has 2GB of storage capacity. The Wav is a bit like the ugly, fat friend of the Samsung YP-K5. About Everything USB
