Official Boxee Remote Control Doubles as a Wireless Keyboard
If you are a HTPC enthusiast, then at some point you probably have played, used or are still using Boxee. This software package makes turning any old PC into a Home Theater PC downright easy. The only downside is that unless you wanted to go to an expensive Logitech Harmony remote, or similarly priced units, your only option was to either use a keyboard and mouse, or buy a D-Link Boxee Box. This somehow did sort of defeat the entire purpose of the exercise. Well, that is the past as D-Link is now offering the DSM-22 Boxee Remote.

The USB 2.0-based DSM-22 is a two-sided remote with a full QWERTY keyboard on one side and the basic necessities in buttons on the other. While this doesn't sound all that special, what makes the DSM-22 remote special is two fold. The first and biggest reason this is so exciting for Boxee users is that it meant to work with the Boxee software. You no longer need to buy a Boxee box just to get a "proper" remote nor mess with programming an after-market remote to work with it. The second reason this is so appealing is the price. With a price of only $49.99, this is one of the more value priced remotes going. Who says you can't have, good looks, practicality and a frugal asking price. The DSM-22 Boxee Remote is available from D-Link and other online sources now. Get them while they are hot (and in stock).
