Datexx ULTRABattery Charges USB Gadgets OTG

  November 7th, 2006

Anyone who has used a portable device like a cell phone, MP3 player or PDA has run out of juice in the battery at an in opportune time. If you’re anything like me you forget to plug your cell phone in until you need to be leaving for an important meeting, leaving you out of touch with family and friends. The Datexx ULTRABattery is a 2200mA rechargeable battery inside a plastic housing that uses five different adapters, including an adapter for charging USB devices, allowing you to power most portable devices you have lying around. Alas the appropriate tip for the iPod isn’t included with the device; it must be purchased separately for $7.99. Slashgear had a look at the device and said it worked well, though it doesn’t have enough juice to power really high drain devices like the HTC Universal. If you need something to charge your AA powered gadgets on the go, a USB battery charger will do the trick.
