Diamond Multimedia is expanding their PVR arsenal with the new HDTV100 portable hybrid TV tuner. Capable of handling both ASTC and NTSC one at a time (this is still a single tuner), the HDTV100 can stream over-the-air HDTV up to 1080i and analog SDTV at 480i. Besides an infrared remote and a pen-drive form factor, MCE compatibility, the $99 PVR isn't exactly ground-breaking except it starts with a lower MSRP than the $130 Pinnacle that is suspiciously similar to this unit. The video dongle is going to eat a lot of HD space at 5GB per hour in 720p and 4.8GB per hour in 1080i.
