We really hope that keychain-sized photo viewers aren't a product without a market, because Digital Foci seems to have put a lot of work into their two new offerings: known collectively as the Pocket OLED Series, these two pint-sized photo viewers offer up some impressive options, particularly when compared to previous generation keychain photo displays like the one offered by Brookstone. Included in the more powerful Deluxe OLED 2.8 are features like a 2.8 inch (320 x 240 resolution) Active Matrix OLED screen with contrast ratio of 10,000:1; internal flash memory that will hold somewhere over 3,000 files; an internal folder system for organizing and selecting photos; alarm clock and calendar functions; slideshow and random photo selections; built-in clock with an on/off timer; photo editing software; and a rechargeable battery with a USB connection. Although Digital Foci has yet to announce price points for either version of the Pocket OLED Series photo viewers, we have to wonder why they haven't developed a version of the product somewhere between the Deluxe 2.8 version mentioned above and the feature-light 1.5 version, whose abilities pale in comparison to its deluxe sibling. We have to figure there are people out there who are going to want more memory than the 32 MB provided by the 1.5, but without the much higher price the 2.8 will undoubtedly command.
