Your Own USB Ultrasound Probe for $3700

If you ever wanted to be just like Tom Cruise and have your own ultrasound machine just perfect for looking at your unborn, possibly alien, baby you are in luck. Soon you may not have to drop $40,000 to indulge your ~~insanity~~ love for your child, you can just buy your own USB powered ultrasound probe. The device is currently waiting for FDA approval.

Weighing in at a mere 7.5 ounces and described as perfect for B-mode imaging, whatever that means, the probe will retail for a mere $3700. Software is included to capture and process the images and connectivity is via USB 2.0. The probe will be offered in 3.5, 5.0, 7.5 and 12MHz. I have no idea what that means and Mr. Cruise could not be reached to explain it to me.
