So the Dream Desk PC is too expensive and/or ugly to justify a purchase to justify purchase for your Disney-obsessed child?. Well, the Magic Kingdom has just announced a cheaper, more discrete piece of gadgetry to satisfy his need for technology, the Disney Mix Stick MP3 Player.

Available in Mickey chrome, Sassy Pixie purple, Forever Princess pink, and That's So Raven red, the cross-platform MP3 player comes with 128MB of internal flash memory that can be expanded with a Secure Digital or MultiMedia Card to carry 1GB worth of MP3s and WMAs. Playback is controlled via Mickey's face, the main part sporting volume, play/pause, and skip controls similar to the iPod shuffle, with shuffle and repeat buttons for ears. A hold switch is placed on the side of the player.

The 10-hour battery is charged through a USB 2.0 connection, although an AC adaptor will be sold separately. Another accessory designed for the Mix Stick is the Disney Jam Stand, a stereo speaker dock and battery charger that gives off a light show. The Mix Sticks will run $49.99 each and should saturate Anaheim by mid-October.
