DON'T MISS
DisplayPort just seems to be getting better and better all of the time. This time around comes word from the Vesa group that the latest revision (2.0) will gain the ability to carry USB traffic across the auxiliary channel. Apparently they are having some problems with bandwidth and are working to get it up to spec to handle the full 480Mb/s for USB 2.0. That's not all they have up their sleeve though. If you are a multi-monitor guru like me, then you will be please to know that they are working on single connector that will drive multiple displays. The Vesa Task Group is also working on a miniature variant of the connector to aid in connecting your small mobile devices to a monitor as well. If they can keep up all the goodies and deliver as intended, HDMI is going to have a very serious contender on its hands.
