DIY USB Fridge Holds More than just a Pop Can

Are you a do-it-yourselfer that just hates the idea of buying something simply because you can do it….well…yourself? If you have a thermoelectric cooler and some heatsinks lying around (TEC or Peltier), then why not give this video a look and go make your own USB-powered Mini Fridge. Since USB specs only officially supports 2.5W of power (5V * 500mA), don't expect it to put your drink in there and it reach sub-freezing temperatures in 20 minutes.

This makes me want to try this out, only take it to the extreme and connect about 30 USB cables in parallel and see how cold I can make it. If you aren't the DIY type and would rather buy a USB powered fridge, take a look at the DreamCheeky and see if it is more suited towards your needs.
