USB Power Bar that Turns Peripherals On & Off

  May 25th, 2006

USB Power Bar that Turns Peripherals On & OffTurning your peripherals off with your PC is a neat trick for a power bar (not the kind you eat). The good news for those short on USB ports is that while the power bar attaches to USB, it has a "Y" that replicates your USB port so you don't loose one to the power bar. Sporting seven outlets you can connect lots of things, assuming they don't have those giant plugs.

The power bar also has magnets on the back to fix it to your metal desk (yikes!) The attached cord length is approximately 2.0 meters and the entire power bar measures 345.5 x 50 x 31mm. No word on versions of the power bar for other countries. The price of the power bar is set at 4,800 yen or a bit under $50 USD.
