Fabric Keyboard Requires no Ironing

  March 9th, 2006

Fabric Keyboard Requires no IroningEleksen introduced a new fabric keyboard at CeBIT that is being offered to OEMs and ODMs. The ElekTex is very customizable to allow manufacturers freedom in the character set and layout of the keyboard and is made of 100% fabric.

The keyboard is USB powered and compatible with USB/HID profile. The reference designs shown at CeBIT are licensable to manufacturers looking to provide a branded and unique fabric keyboard.

ElekTex can be rolled up when not in use and weighs only 60 grams. The really interesting part about the USB version is that it requires no batteries thanks to bus powered design. The technology is available now, and pricing will be set by the OEMs and ODMs that license the technology.
