It's not a lunch pail. It's not a boombox. No - it's Epson's latest PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition! Why the handle? The PictureMate Deluxe has a very interesting option - an internal rechargeable battery pack ($69). The battery recharges each time the printer is plugged into an AC source.
The Deluxe Viewer Edition is an evolution of the original PictureMate. Other changes are the flip-up color LCD screen and wireless direct printing capabilities via an optional Epson Bluetooth Photo Print Adapter. Naturally, print speeds have increased about 40% over the original PictureMate. PictBridge and most flash memory types are supported as well.
The Epson PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition can print lab-quality up to 4" x 6" as fast as 75 seconds without the need for a PC or Mac. The printer even has a USB port that can support pretty much any USB storage device - including CD/DVD players. Both PictureMate models use Epson’s exclusive archival six-color pigment printing technology.
The PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition retails for $249.00 without the Bluetooth and battery options. Filed under Multi-function Printers & Inkjet Printers
