Ezmaker usb 2.0

Hi,

The driver installs fine on my laptop Compaq Presario. The system asks to connect the USB device. It reports 'New hardware found' but then I get a message box : ' Cann't find the file M8Mini20.sys. It starts searching in the directory
Windows\Crescentec. But there 's no M8Mini20.sys file; neither can it be found on the installation disk itself.

Can someone send me this file of tell me what to do?

Thank you very much,
Danny Geysen

Have you considered contacting Avermedia?

Yes, but Aver America pointed me to a European support center. I contacted the German webiste, but they don't reply unfortunately.

I noticed a thid party, Crescentec was involved and I was hoping they had done some programming for this software.

Have you tried using Start > Search to find M8Mini20.sys so that you can properly browse to it?

Indeed, I 've done it this way. I explored the entire hard disk and the installation CD. Nothing found.

I found an almost similar file (the same 'family' in the Windows/Crescentec/ directory, but this particular file M8Mini20.sys was not there.

Danny,

Have you ever found a solution? I have exactly the same problem with my Sony Vaio Laptop

Hi,

Unfortunately, I have never found a solution for it. That's the reason I have never been able to use Ezmaken usb 2.0 on that particular laptop.
