hp photosmart 7760 ejects paper unexpectedly

Does anyone know why my photosmart 7760 ejects several pages of paper every time I boot up? Also sometimes when I close a window (such as when I close a window for Norton Antivirus after checking my Virus Definition date), I will get a page printed. Only thing printed on the page is usually one page of "junk", such as Z(club)(USBCPCD..). Appears to have something to do with USB drivers. I'm running Windows XP with every available fix I can find on the operating system (plus Windows updates installed) and I have the latest drivers from HP. Any ideas?

I gave up - bought another brand of printer

I finally invested in another brand of printer, since the PhotoSmart 7770 was so irritating, and I saw no resolution to this problem.

its a problem with your operating system setting, not in your device. try to check these on other system. which operating system are you using?
