Question Problem ejecting mass storage device

Hi
I have a laptop and everytime I use my two different externa Hard Drive I cannot use the safely remove, It always says (The device 'Generic Volume' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later) this is a 'problem ejecting mass storage device" thats what shows. I had wait like 30 min and it still saying the same, This problem is only with external HD. Thanks for your time

It will never damage the drive - only any data that's in transit.

Your antivirus program is probably accessing the drive.
