It seems the chaps in the UK really like their singles on USB drives. After a single by Keane put out last October on USB drives sold out in one day the record label is putting out a single by another band called The Fratellis on USB. 7000 of the drives that include the new single and a music video for the song will be available exclusively at HMV stored. The head marketing mucky muck for Island Records said that the success of the Keane single on USB last year let them know that USB was a viable medium for selling music. He also says that if demand starts to take off they could see releasing entire albums on USB drives, especially so if the USB albums were allowed on UK sales charts.
