Griffin Updates USB Mic (with Audio Output)

  December 26th, 2005

Griffin Updates USB Mic (with Audio Output)Let's say that your laptop audio is either not working or not working well. You can't change the audio circuitry and you can't repair it affordably. Griffin Technology has a solution - the iMic USB Audio Interface. It's compatible with PCs and Macs and uses built-in Window/Mac drivers.

The Griffin Technology iMic leverages the fully digital USB path for lower noise and greater fidelity. It can send audio signals to and from the computer so that you can record (with the included microphone) and play audio. A selectable switch chooses between the two and a level control is provided for volume.

Mac owners get the added benefit of Final Vinyl software, which makes recording old records and tapes easy with such features as waveform-based cue editing and built-in 10-band EQ. Final Vinyl can also equalize LPs without having to connect a turntable to a pre-amp. Just hook the turntable directly to the iMic, and Final Vinyl will record your LPs perfectly. The iMic retails for US$39.99.
