"driver complains ???" to all you people that are complaining about the drivers. all the USB 2.0 pci cards on the market are identical, they use the same drivers, made by OrangeWare. if one company doesn't have the newest version, then go the next company and use their drivers. i have a OrangeMicro card and i use Belkin drivers. Remember all the USB 2.0 PCI cards on the market right now, use NEC chipset, and they are indentical.
BOTTOM LINE From qwert, October 18, 2002
"Works Okay, but doesn't work in Windows 98 / 98 SE / ME" Although I've had the card for only a couple of days, it seems to be working OK. However users of Windows 98/ 98SE and ME should be aware that, as long as they stick with either one OS, they will never be able to experience transfer associated with the USB 2.0 standard. ADS Tech is not providing drivers and Microsoft has stated that they won't be making any either. Only users of Win2000 and XP can get them from the Windows Update site... If USB 2.0 transfer rates are important to you (and you are using Win98/98SE and/or ME) maybe you should look for a card manufacturer that provides the drivers for those OSes too. I have to add that what ADS has printed on the box (and what is stated on their web site) is somewhat misleading...
