The fourth incarnation of iPod-series is significantly downsized both in term of the unit dimensions and storage capacity while retaining the touch-scroll navigation and original software.

"Classic Apple design, great interface!" I have had my iPod mini now for a full week, and it is exactly what it claims to be...the mini iPod.
Only 4GB, but the same quality design, unmatched user interface, and quality one would expect from Apple.
At 4GBs, it holds roughly 700 songs, or over 2 full days of music. This is ideal for someone on the go IMO. I have well over 40GBs, but I don't need it ALL with me ALL the time. If I tire of my current selection, the fast firewire connection makes changing your music a breeze!
I have owned a couple of iPods, from the 1st Gen, to the 4th Gen, and this has all that you would expect from the iPod, with the bonus of being easier to carry with you.
I'm sure larger capacity mini iPods will emerge, but till then, the iPod mini, at 4GBs is ideal for the active.
