"doesn't work as good as it looks" I bought this hub because I liked the design and have had good luck in previous years with Belkin products. No such luck this time. I found that when I have this hub plugged into my laptop when I boot up, the comupter won't boot. If I boot with the hub unpluged the computer boots fine. I called belkins tech support and they were helpful but they ended up telling me that i'd need to replace the hub because there was no fix for my problem.
I've had other hubs and never such a problem. I will replace it with a diffrent hub. From Stephan, December 06, 2004
"Big Problems..." I did my research and decided on this USB 2 hub -- what a mistake!
My Internet connection stopped working when I plugged it in? It took me awhile to figure what was going on. I called D-Link because I thought I had a router problem. They got my Internet connection working again -- then I plugged in this Belkin hub and lost my Internet connection. BINGO! Just to make sure, I fixed the Internet again (Run-CMD-IPCONFIG /RELEASE -- IPCONFIG /RENEW). Anyway, when I plugged the Belkin in again, I lost the Internest again. Tried calling Belkin but their Tech Support closes at 5:30pm. I'm not messing with it again -- it's going back tomorrow and I'm buying something different. Wasted hours of my time trying to figure this out -- don't waste your time with this one! George From George, October 01, 2004
