What is this?
The rather ordinary looking hub provides seven Hi-Speed USB downstream ports, each of which can also cascade with another hub to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus.

"Great design, works fine, but no bus-power mode"
Works fine and seemlessly like a USB hub is supposed to.

Design is great and futuristic. The placement of the status LEDs make the ports light up when nothing plugged in. A nice, probably unintended, design feature!

One downside is that this hub is only selfpowered which means you have to have the power adaptor plugged in. However it works without the adaptor but the computer still thinks it's self-powered. Using it this way is only recommended using a desktop computer and with low- or self-power devices like mice, HDDs etc. since power management is practically disabled and you risk frying your USB port.
At least they could tell on the box that this hub is self-power only - it simply states it's a 7 port USB 2.0 hub. The user manual, though, tells you to plug in the adaptor.
