My brand new 512K Lexar drive just transferred a 317,456,100 byte file in 310 seconds max, on two different Win2K computers.
According to my math, correct me if I'm wrong, but that's 12.8MB/s. (i'm thinking the B is bits, not bytes-- in either case, this drive is fast) From Bruce Mihura, August 17, 2003
"It's even faster than you think..." Bruce, your 2 W2k systems must not have USB 2.0 support. Otherwise you should see a much higher transfer rate. according to my calculations, you transfered 300MB in 5 minutes. That's pretty slow... If my calucations are correct, that's a little about 1MB/s, closer to the limit of USB 1.1. From Zoom, August 17, 2003
