"This is fucking controller i want to play me emulator games but no" Even it is a bad controller.Me i spend to week with it and it broke down setup setting set by it self but nice controller look like ps2 and i like use to this one good thing but people should no how to fix this probleme but it a good fucking and i like it i dont care what people say it good even it broken. "Same problem as everyone else, with 2 of them."
I got 1, then another. Same calibration problem with both. I will get them when if/when it works right.
Also, It feels short and narrow in my hands because the handles bend steeply. I like the smooth shallow bend of the new Thrustmaster Firestorm 3 Digital Gamepad, but it doesn't have 2 sticks and not as many buttons.
I wish their dpad is sturdier - the old model Firestorm I got would get stuck only after a couple months and there's sharp angles under it. From Joe, March 22, 2005
"I wish they get it right."
I got a couple last year, and my character in kotor keeps spinning. I wish they fix it because it's a nice controller. I heard Saitek is good, but it only has 1 shoulder button and is unnesarily big.
I continue to buy other Logitech stuff because they work well though, like speakers, keyboards, and my they make the best optical mices.

"how to fix" i found a way to fix it, for like 7 days, you unscrew the pad and then put some oil, 3 in 1 or others stuff into the analog metal cube , after moving it a little, it will work and wont crash or decalibrate for a while but you will loose the analog button for 1 day. Dont worry it comes back always. try it. From renecanales, December 05, 2004
"still undecided" I have had my pad for over a year and have had minor problems with the controller connecting and disconnecting. Also the rumble feature does so sporadicly. I didn't know it rumbled until months after I got it. It did in the middle of a game and scared the sh*t out of me. ARE THERE ANY ALTERNATIVES TO THIS CONTROLLER. I'M USED TO PS2 DUAL ANALOG CONTROLLERS. From rayzerslim, November 27, 2004
"Garbage!" I have the same problem as everyone else!
After about 2 weeks of use (of which I was very happy) all of a sudden, it started disconnecting/reconnecting, losing calibration etc...
In game controllers, it stops responding constantly.
A week ago I would have reccomended this thing, but now I'd say to avoid it at all costs, I'm not a heavy user, and I look after all my gear very carefully.
This gamepad is utter rubbish!
Anyone who gives this a thumbs up is either a stooge for logitech, or has only been using it for 5 minutes, it WILL break, and do so prematurely! From Disgruntled, November 20, 2004
"Should be sued" This Rumblepad from Logitech is the biggest mistake I ever made concerning anything PC related. What makes it worse is Logitech is acting like a two-bit, nickle & dime, mickey mouse outfit rather than honing up to their problems with this piece of garbage they call a gamepad. Never again will I choose anything Logitech related. They should be sued and put out of business for stealing everyones money and then running without facing their obvious issues with thie Rumblepad. "Please don't buy it" As with every person on this list, my left analog joystick is going all over the place.
Do yourself a favor and run away from it. It DOES NOT WORK! We should get together and sue them.
I tried 2 of these gamepads, (after getting it exchanged). The second time I decided to stay with it, what a bad bad decision. From Dont buy it, November 07, 2004
"Owninator" You know what the problem is, right? The joystick inside the controller cant move all the way up-down-left-right because of the size of the hole in the blue casing around the inside components. I hated re-plugging in the USB every 10 minuts, so I drilled its size to make it bigger, and it's been working perfectly since. From Carlos Portillo, November 04, 2004
"run away! run away! run away!!!!!!!" I picked this one up without a second thought. Price & PSII'ish appeal sold me at first. Three weeks later my second thought was "how could Logitech sell this junk and risk their otherwise good rep.?". When the left stik calibration started to slowly degrade to useless crap, I got way tired of re-connecting it just to get a few more minutes play before it did the same #%**@~! thing again. Logitech will replace it, but now that my second one went bad too, I'm ditching it for another make. If you're not into fixing stuff that's supposed to work to begin with, stay away from this thing. TWO THUMBS WAYYY DOWN. From Chrome4ks, November 04, 2004
"How many broken pads can you have?" Logitech makes great steering wheels, mice, and speakers.... and even gamepads. But this one is not up to par. Great shape design but since it NEVER works for more than a week or two before breaking into left stick jiggles and decalibration...
There appears to be no fix for the problem, nor does Logitech appear to care much. Oh sure they'll replace it nearly an infinite number of times, but it's ridiculous how they don't just fix them problem. Ah well. Awaiting my 7th!!! replacement pad. From Andy, October 16, 2004
"Dual action fix(TEMP)" So far so good. I opened up my dual action, and unscrewed the 2 screws on the inside that hold things together. I plugged the controller back and tested it for about 1 hour, and everything worked. I then screwed everything back together, but not as tightly. I did that with the other screws on the outside as well. So far so good. You can try this out if you like, it worked for me. From JohnyRed, October 12, 2004
"Great (when it works)" I got this pad because I'm used to the PS/2 controller. It worked great for the first couple weeks, but then it started to "decalibrate" on an hourly basis. I would simply plug/unplug the USB device, and get another hour out of it. A week later, I would have to do it every 15-20 minutes. Now, over a month later, it sometimes disconnects itself (I hear the WinXP USB Disconnect sound) and "replugs" itself in (hear the plugin sound). I take very good care of all my equipment, I never roll-up or bunch up the cable; the controller constantly sits on its back without any obstruction while not in use. When the pad works, it's great, but considering many people are experiencing the same problem as I am, you are probably better off looking for a good Saitek controller. The new Saitek I got has had zero problems. From Mistawho, October 10, 2004
