"logitech has issues" my 3rd logitech webcam and none have worked. i have an hp laptop with intel cpu and a abs desktop with an athlon 64 3200 cpu. wont run on either system. dont know if this is a win xp conflict or maybe norton anti virus conflict but whatever it is ive had it with logitech. "Quickcam Zoom Freezes like the others" Lots of people on Google saying same about Logitech cams. Logitech lists zillions of "known issues" I spent days downloading patches etc etc and no joy. I run Win98.
As a webcam it runs in Image Studio for maybe 90 mins then freezes. Need to reboot or unplug the cam. Poor quality, the eyeshade was so loose it falls off. The gimbel mount attaches weakly, sometimes not at all. Product, going back to store today! Logitech blamed their software vendor who never replies to queries.
I noted that the Logitech cam and drivers are supplied to them by a major Dutch electronics firm which gets poor camera ratings in general!
