"doesnt work" the batterys run out after two hours and now when i try to switch it on it just flashes red and beeps then goes off.i have tried everything and cant get it to work now.absolute waste of money.after all the hassle of getting songs onto it and figuring it out it just doesnt work anymore From Pauline, January 02, 2005
"I got mine to work with XP- here's how:" Okay, I bought the psa64 (without reading reviews) from overstink.com-- The unit came with everything I needed to be thoroughly confused and frustrated! I got it to work by downloading the current version of the MusicMatch Jukebox software. Use the drivers that come with the CD, and format the drive via the MusicMatch device manager. "Could be idiots" Frankly, all the morons that couldn;t get this product to work also seem to be the ones that post their comments 3 or 4 times. If you're that friggin stupid, then I don't wonder why you can't make this the Nike work. You're a nimrod. Sing to yourself. Your room temp IQ probably won't notice the difference. I got the NIKE to even work on a stinky old Win98 Sony VAIO. Take that. It works, it's light. But clearly there is an IQ threshold for this product. Sorry. If you're a dullard, do not touch this product. From Enzo Ferarri, September 02, 2004
"Works perfectly with USB 1.0, not USB 2.0" The Nike PSA[64 does exactly what it is advertised for.
It plays 8-10 hours of digital music, with one AAA battery.
The complaints about compatibility usually are related to the use of a USB 2.0 port. Once you connect it to a USB 1.0, it works in any windows version. No driver update is necessary.
So, in case your PSA is not working thru your USB 2.0, just use the onboard USB 1.0 and there you go, no need to get angry! From Rod boos, August 29, 2004
"6 hours later, I'm throwing it away" After six hours (three of which were in my hotel room on Hawaii), I've decided to throw this away. By far the most unfriendly device I've ever had to install. I called Phillips technical support, they referred me to an udpated driver page but all of their suggestions did not work. I too got sucked in the 'Nike wouldn't sell a product that wouldn't be easy to use". I will never purchase anything from Phillips again. From S Matthews, August 14, 2004

"USB connect problem resolved..." I do like this device, but, like so many others, I've had my own connectivity problems. I have an older Athlon computer, and the motherboard came equipped with USB 1.1 ports. At least, I think they're 1.1. I know they're not 2.0 ports, so I put a 2.0 PCI adapter card in. Since 2.0 is supposed to be the better of the two, I decided to connect my psa128max to it. Unfortunately, I had no luck seeing the device at all. I tried getting updated drivers and software to no avail. As a last, and I mean LAST, resort, I tried connecting the device to the onboard ports. BINGO! It suddenly worked and has ever since. So, should you be working with new and old USB, try the old and you may be pleasantly surprised. From mr3c2000, August 01, 2004
"HELP PLEASE" I have tried and tried to get this to work. When I bought it a few months ago I managed to download some track no problem, but I have spent 2 days now trying and even Dave's link below wont work. Please can someone help me? I just want to listen to some new tunes when I am out jogging, surely there is a way to fix this? From Lucy, May 31, 2004
"Should be lighter and user friendlly" Design is great, but should loose some weigh and should have twice the memory. The earphone is nice, but the rubber cover comes off too easilly and gets lost easilly(I all ready lost 2 pairs). THE SOFTWARE does not work too well after installation, but somehow, I got it working thru the explorer win98. The idea was great, but they should have designed it after consulting people who are into severall hour trainings.
The price when I bought it was about $270 more or less, so it isnīt a bargain, for this price I should have gotten something more lighter and more durable and user Friendlly, like plug and play. From Dong Suk, May 28, 2004
"Appealing design, but everything else has problems" Ok the design appealed to me... also maybe cuz i use it when running and the rubber surface was attractive. Stay away at all costs is what i am forced to admit. First day the screws fall apart, then false instructions on how to make the device recognizable. New batteries are dead every 2 hours even tho it claims 10 hours. Now this thing just does not work.. it feels like I'm trying to operate a rock!!!! STAY AWAY! From Nan, March 24, 2004
"Even a Microsoft certified engineer can't fix it" I am Microsoft certified and after 8+ hours of troubleshooting on three different systems, I was still unable to get this piece of crap to work. While I am sure there are unique software systems this player make work on with no problems, I wouldn't gamble on it. I typically enjoy tweaking configurations, correcting hardware problems, etc... this wasn't worth it after 8 hours. From Brandon, March 13, 2004
"PSA 64 works with this on Windows XP" I list my installation disc before I got a chance to install it. Hmm, but thanks to this link off our friend David. It solved all my problems in one go. Thank *** for that. Rock 'n Roll! Just down this link and party on!

"pretty good player for my first..." I run XP, no prob w/ the drivers, software works wonderfully, first & every other time there after. i've changed playlists/songs about 3 times now, absolutely love it, since it was free to me!!
Sorry didn't finish. i did not purchase this product, recieved as a gift. i've been delighted w/ it. software loaded up & it's worked great so far. i have run the battery down by accidently switching the player on while in my bag or purse. now having a time locating the larger mmc card.
Didn't expect so many thumbs down... From Stephanie, February 12, 2004
"Upgrate products to keep customers" As we all know OS are being upgraded annually. So should the software, or you can plan to buy a new nike psa player annually. No thanks, nike & phillips, not from you again: disappointed long-term customer.
