"Good hardware, terrible software" No, Pinnacle offers no support on it. No, installing the drivers (which were not included on the CD, regardless of claims by the instructions) from the website did not help. No, you can not capture from any other program than Pinnacle's software. No, other movie editing software doesn't even RECOGNIZE the video on clips captured. No, you can not save them with coversion programs, they crash. No, you should not by this hardware or software until Pinnacle gets off their lazy carcasses and fixes all these problems. Or at LEAST make it useable by other capture programs! Talk about a total 100% work-around situation! Capture, edit, cut to DVD and make disc/case art? NEVER! Ugh. "Poor Audio is correct..." I am very happy with the video quality...however, the audio is tinny and poorly compressed...and for some reason I can't adjust the audio capture settings, they are "greyed out".
Anyone know why? Seems I should be able to adjust this...I plan on returning the product for this reason alone. From Dave W, November 30, 2003
"Poor Audio, OK Video." The biggest disapointment with this was the audio quality. Very tinny sounding and unacceptable in my opintion. The video seemed average. Comes with Pinnacle Studio 8, which is buggy but pretty powerful software. Easy to use. Still in search of that perfect product. From Anthony J Fratzke, October 12, 2003
