Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950 USB Hybrid TV Tuner

Hauppauge has a new hybrid TV tuner called the WinTV-HVR-950 that connects to your PC via USB 2.0 only and allows you to watch analog cable and ATSC HD digital TV on your PC. The included WinTV2000 application allows you to watch and record TV. In areas with both analog and digital signals, you can change between the two formats automatically. All ATSC formats are supported up to 1080i. Recording of ATSC programming to your PC HDD is done in MPEG-2 format and recordings take around 4GB of space per hour. Analog recording via a TV antenna is supported via the built in TV tuner and analog recording is done via SoftPVR MPEG-2 and require 1.5GB of HDD space every hour. If you are a Mac user, a similar Mac only device is the Elgato EyeTV.
