We have talked about the Mac Wi-Fire high-performance long-range USB WiFi adapter before. Wi-Fire announced today that it has released a new Windows Vista and XP compatible version of the Wi-Fire USB adapter. The version released back in August was a Mac only device. This new model allows Windows Vista users to enjoy wireless connectivity from up to 1000 feet away from the base station. The Wi-Fire adapter is completely compatible with Vista and XP WiFi software controls eliminating compatibility issues. The adapter measures in at 3-inches x 4-inches and is 3/8-inch thick. The adapter can be attached to the LCD screen of a notebook computer or can be used freestanding beside the notebook. - Get D-Link RangeBooster G USB Adapter WUA-2340 - network adapter now for $39.17 at Amazon.com
