HP's 20x USB DVD Burner with LightScribe is Way Fast

HP’s latest external DVD burner, the HP dvd1040e 20x Super Multi DVD Writer, uses LightScribe labeling technology. The burner can write to single or double layer disks as well as CDs. All major formats are recordable with the HP drive including CD/DVD +- RW, DVD-RAM, CD-R/RW and the drive uses version 1.2 of LightScribe technology, which allows for higher contrast labels. DVD+R discs can be burned at up to 20x, DVD+RW at up to 8x and DVD+R DL at up to 8x. CD read speed is up to 48x and DVD-ROM read is up to 16x. The drive also ships with Nero 7 Essentials to allow archiving of data, video and images. USB 2.0 is used to connect the drive to your PC. Pricing for the drive is $119.99 and it is available now. This is quite an upgrade from the HP DVD 840e I own.
