HP Photo Printer Offers 1.5GB Onboard Storage

  July 6th, 2005

HP has announced what it calls "the most advanced compact photo printer in the industry" and we believe them. This new Photosmart 475 Compact Photo Printer can store up to a thousand photos internally, eliminating the need to store images on a PC or camera.

Photos can be printed in high quality color, as well as black and white, viewed on a TV as a photo album by using the included remote control or directly saved to CD or DVD by connecting an external CD/DVD writer and flash drives - all without using a PC.

While the PhotoSmart 475 still offers a built-in mega-in-one card reader, the printer itself includes 1.5GB of internal flash memory. The flip-up 6.4cm LCD screen allows organization of the memory contents and album-like behavior.

The printer is the first portable printer to also print on large borderless sizes from 13 x 18 cm to panorama size 10 x 30 cm. Bluetooth 1 capability and an onboard USB port are included for even more transfer options. PictBridge is a given.

The The HP Photosmart 475 Compact Photo Printer is lightweight and has a carry handle. A television interface cable is included. This thing is loaded! It is available from August 2005 and the price should be below $349.00.
