HP is laying claim to the fastest photo printing with the new Photosmart 8250. It can print a 4 x 6 photo in 14 seconds for as little as 24ยข thanks to its 6-ink tank system and Vivera inks. Documents can be printed up to 32ppm for black and 30ppm color.
The HP Photosmart 8250 uses the same core printer components as the PhotoSmart 3310 All-in-One. A page completion feature compares remaining ink levels to the predicted amount of ink needed for a selected print job and notifies users when a replacement cartridge is required to complete the task.
A 2.5" LCD display relays information and allows previewing a print job sent from outside sources including most flash memory card types and PictBridge. Convenient front panel controls expedite this process.
Both USB and Ethernet (RJ-45) connectivity are featured. An optional HP bt450 Printer and PC Adapter with Bluetooth Wireless Technology enables wireless printing from camera phones, handheld PCs or other Bluetooth enabled devices. The HP Photosmart 8250 is both Windows and Mac-compatible. The suggested retail price is $199.99.
It may be fast, but if it starts smoking, the user should definitely step back.Filed under Multi-function Printers & Inkjet Printers
