  October 19th, 2006

DON'T MISS
The rock band Keane is releasing their third single form their latest album "Under the Iron Sea" called "Nothing in My Way" on a new format for singles release, the USB memory stick. The single will be a limited edition of 1500 and is set to release on October 30th for 3.99 pounds and will be sold only through HMV stores around the UK. The flash drive being used is a 512MB drive that has lots of storage capacity left over, so it can be used for carrying other music, files and photos in addition to the single.

Jon Turner, General Manager Island Records adds: "I'm delighted that Island Records are leading the way in embracing groundbreaking and innovative ways to deliver music to the consumer. The Kingmax SuperStick introduces a new dynamic to the format business and could well become a standard music carrier in the future." Keane is not the first band to launch singles on a flash drive, the Barenaked Ladies used custom flash drive for their Holidays 2004 Album.
