Keynesis, author of Lockngo, has developed Portable Sweeper - a USB drive-mounted program for helping the user to utilize other people's PCs in stealth mode.
The Keynesis privacy protection software is basically a cleanup program. When you're done using a strange PC, you simply tell it what type of PC you have been using (Home, Office, Other) or tell it to "Clean Everything" and it wipes your "footprints" from that PC - temp files, cookies, Office temp files, history, etc. It removes all personal/private data.
Keynesis Portable Sweeper runs directly from the USB drive - nothing is installed on the local PC and administrative privileges are not required. The interface is simple and clean and the price is right.
Although it's shareware, the download only runs in Demo mode. The program is inexpensive though - $19. Now we finally have an answer for all of those inquiries for this type of application. If you like it, remember that Keynesis offers the equally good Lockngo for securing your flash drive data.Filed under USB Apps for Flash Drives
